Becca S. Tarnas is a scholar, artist, and practicing archetypal astrologer. She received her PhD in Philosophy and Religion from the California Institute of Integral Studies, with her dissertation titled The Back of Beyond: The Red Books of C.G. Jung and J.R.R. Tolkien. Becca received her BA from Mount Holyoke College in Environmental Studies and Theatre Arts, and MA in Philosophy, Cosmology, and Consciousness at CIIS. Her research interests include depth psychology, literature, philosophy, and the ecological imagination. Richard Tarnas is a professor of philosophy and cultural history at the California Institute of Integral Studies in San Francisco, and is the founding director of its graduate program in Philosophy, Cosmology, and Consciousness. He frequently lectures on archetypal studies and depth psychology at Pacifica Graduate Institute in Santa Barbara, and was formerly the director of programs and education at Esalen Institute in Big Sur. A graduate of Harvard University and Saybrook Institute, he is the author of The Passion of the Western Mind, a history of the Western world view from the ancient Greek to the postmodern widely used in universities. His second book, Cosmos and Psyche: Intimations of a New World View, received the Book of the Year Prize from the Scientific and Medical Network, and is the basis for the upcoming documentary film Changing of the Gods. He is a past president of the International Transpersonal Association and served on the Board of Governors for the C. G. Jung Institute of San Francisco. His website is CosmosandPsyche.com.
Keiron Le Grice is a professor of depth psychology and co-chair of the Jungian and Archetypal Studies specialization at Pacifica Graduate Institute, Santa Barbara, where he teaches courses on archetypal cosmology, alchemy, individuation, synchronicity, and the history of depth psychology. He was educated at the University of Leeds, England (B.A. honors, Philosophy and Psychology) and the California Institute of Integral Studies (CIIS) in San Francisco (M.A., Ph.D., Philosophy and Religion). Keiron is the author of several books, including The Archetypal Cosmos, The Rebirth of the Hero, and The Lion Will Become Man. A founding editor of Archai: The Journal of Archetypal Cosmology (2008-2015), Keiron is also co-editor of Jung on Astrology.
Grant Maxwell has served as a professor of English at Baruch College and Lehman College in New York. A graduate of the City University of New York’s Graduate Center (Ph.D., M.A.) and The University of Texas at Austin (B.A.), he has been an editor of Archai since 2011. He is the author of Integration and Difference: Constructing a Mythical Dialectic (forthcoming, Routledge), The Dynamics of Transformation: Tracing an Emerging World View, and How Does It Feel?: Elvis Presley, The Beatles, Bob Dylan, and the Philosophy of Rock and Roll, and he has written articles for Deleuze and Guattari Studies, the American Philosophical Association blog, American Songwriter magazine, the Journal of Religion and Popular Culture, Interalia Magazine, and Archai.
